The downloaded file is a compressed ZIP file.
Double-click the zip file in Finder to decompress the file to obtain the PDF Resize.app file.
Move the PDF Resize.app file into your Applications folder.
Drag the PDF Resize.app icon to your Dock.
The first time you run PDF Resize.app you will need to grant the app permission to use your Desktop folder.
In some versions of Mac OS, the first time you run PDF Resize.app you may have to double-click the app in Finder and then allow it to run.

Simple to use
Click on PDF Resize.app in your Dock and then select one or more PDF files in Finder.
Click the Choose button and instantly, copies of your reduced size PDF files are on your desktop
It's very, very fast.

Hyperlinks won't work
Sorry, but this app uses Apple's PDF capabilities, Unfortunately, Apple's PDF generator removes hyperlinks from PDFs.

This works by shrinking pictures in your PDF files. If there aren't any pictures, the file probably won't shrink and might even grow a bit!
